“Vacation Homes for the Brave” is a new program that provides complimentary six day getaways for our brave military men and women who were wounded while serving in support of operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and their families. Some of the recipients may be on leave, recovering from their wounds or reconnecting with family and wanting to spend sometime in Central Florida and Walt Disney World. Florida Spirit is proud to offer this program.

Our beautiful Orlando vacation homes with private heated pools located near Walt Disney World are provided to these very special guests and their family to enjoy and relax. The homes range from 3 to 6 bedrooms which can sleep 6 to 12 people comfortably. All homes are attractively furnished and have several televisions, DVD players, playstation game consoles and wireless internet service. The homes have complete kitchens, cookware, bath towels and professionally cleaned bed linens. We inspect the homes just prior to the guest arrival to ensure everything is just right for their stay.

Boo! Don’t be afraid…your little ones will be squealing with delight – not fright – when you visit Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom this year. On select nights throughout the month of October, you can enjoy this one-of-a-kind Halloween party where you’ll be given the rare opportunity to visit the Magic Kingdom in costume and trick-or-treat with some of your favorite Disney characters who will be donning their best Halloween outfits! For your enjoyment, the majority of rides and shops stay open for the duration of the Party. There is a “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade, and even a special Fireworks Spook-tacular – Happy HalloWishes!

The park re-opens at 7pm on the evenings of the event, but you may want to arrive a bit earlier than that to avoid the long entrance line. Mickey provides the trick-or-treat bags for this event, and there are many candy filling stations all around the park. There is even a “top off” location on your way out, where candy cast members will ensure that everyone gets their fair share!

If you head straight for the castle when you arrive at the Party, you will get the best seating for the Disney Villains Mix & Mingle Show. You’ll see different Disney villains dressed in their finest Halloween attire trick-or-treating at Cinderella’s Castle. The shows are at 7:45 and 9:00 most evenings, but check your daily event schedule to verify this…you don’t want to miss it! When the show’s over, just turn around right where you are – the first Boo-to-You Halloween Parade is about to begin!
