It takes about a month for the team to complete the sculptures.  The temperature inside ICE! is only 9 degrees, so make sure you wear long pants and socks. For many of us Christmas time is about family, sharing the wonder of imagination and even a little magic.  It is a time when children dream even bigger and smile even wider.  Adults reflect on years past and our own childhood.  Christmas helps us remind ourselves of the people we are and continue to strive to be.  We tend to see the World as a smaller place and that we all have a lot in common.

I feel that the magic of Disney is that they provide this every day of the year, but during Christmas time people open their eyes even more to it.  Disney has great seasonal shows and all the characters that several generations grew up with, come together.

I do agree, even after 18 years living in

Orlando, that a palm tree with Christmas lights is a little strange, and trust me decorating one is no easy feat.  The warm weather is great but I have never seen a white Christmas in

Orlando.  I also agree being in a hotel room on Christmas morning lacks something, like a Christmas tree and decorations.  The family Christmas dinner at the restaurant or even the local buffet is just wrong.

This Saturday, November 08, the Orlando Philharmonic will play at The Bok Gardens. The Event happens every fall; this is the 7^th year; families are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to a picnic accompanied with great music!

Event gates open at 3:30pm. There will be an Instrument petting Zoo starting at 4:30pm, where families can try their hands on a variety of instruments with the help of professional musicians from the Orlando Philharmonic. Concert Starts at 6:00pm.
