Ecotourism – Orlando FL

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

The International Ecotourism Society defines ecotourism as: “Responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people.”

Now that October is upon us and the weather is cooler, Florida offers so many thing right here in our very own backyard’s. Everything from canoeing or swimming in our Florida Natural Springs, Hiking Trails in our State Parks, to enjoying all that is officered by local Flea and Farmers Markets. A Day of fun doesn’t always need to cost a bundle.
Dust off your mountain bike, pack up the family and head out for a day of biking that is filled with adventure and rewarding sights.

If your Ecotouristic interests call you to the Ocean and you don’t mind a short drive outside Orlando, your adventures could include fresh sea breezes with guided Sea Turtle Walks & Manatee watch. Possible a simple stroll along the beaches collecting sea shells and watching the sunset or rise could be just what the doctor ordered.

Orlando Florida is still lucky enough to be one of the more popular family oriented, vacation destinations in these economic times. Hopefully you are making sure to be getting every penny’s worth of what Orlando and its surroundings have to offer. It doesn’t matter if you are a Visitor staying in one of our Spectacular Orlando Vacation Homes or a Local Florida Cracker, everyone alike should take advantage of the Ecotourism offered.

“Give a Day, Get a Day”

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

Walt Disney World® Resort and Disneyland® Resort are planning to launch a new marketing campaign in January 2010 called “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.”

In celebrating the spirit of volunteering, Disney will reward those persons age 6 and up, that decide to give back to a participating Organization, with a day at the Walt Disney World® Resort or Disneyland® Resort. This Program launches January 1, 2010 – Eligible Residents will live in the USA, Canada or Porto Rico.-

Is Disney setting a trend for Businesses all over the World to begin following? Companies may just start to reevaluate how they can or will market product & services in these tough economic times. Even the staff of Florida Spirit Vaction Homes, is in deep thoughts of we can combine efforts to reward and create more inspiration in our customers to “Go Green(er)” while vacationing in our homes.

In addition I believe it not only a great tool to teach our children that hard work can be rewarding, but also to pull families and friends together to help out a great cause. There are so many great things that can come from the helping hands of so many! Everybody can make a difference!
